Island Dream is Ellen Silva (songwriter,guitarist, vocalist), it includes Denee Deckert (guitar, vocals, ukulele, keyboards, accordian), Preston Carter (electric bass), Sue Smith (percussion), and Kerry Parker (violin, mandolin).
In addition to new originals by Ellen, and songs from their most recent CD, "Visions of Hope", Island Dream also performs songs from their previous 2 CDs, "Island Dream," "Rhythms of Earth & Sky."
Their arrangements of Ellen Silva's originals are filled with contagious melodies, lush harmonies and strong rhythms influenced by the music of Hawaii, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico and the Carribean as well as R&B, reggae and blues jazz and swing.
Island Dream plays frequently at the San Gregorio Store, and other local BayArea venues, as well as parties, weddings, and other special events!
